Cajun Salsa
1 can whole tomato or fresh peeled, drain some liquid
½ cup chop green pepper
¼ cup chop white onion
1 Tbsp fresh garlic
2 Tbsp fresh chop cilantro
2 Tbsp Bayou Sauce Cayenne (or to taste)
Add all ingredients to blender. Pulse blend do not puree. Serve with tortilla chips.
Cajun Cream Cheese Spread
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 Tbsp crushed fine garlic
1 Tbsp fresh diced green onions
1 Tbsp whole milk to add liquid
2 Tbsp Bayou Seasonings Cayenne Hot Sauce
½ small diced red bell pepper, for color
Blend all ingredients. Serve with fresh vegetables or your favorite cracker.
Cajun Baked Catfish
2 Tbsp canola oil
2 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp Bayou Sauce Cayenne
¼ tsp black pepper
4 8oz catfish fillets
Mix all ingredients, brush over both sides of catfish. Place fish in a
baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 450 degrees F for
10-15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.
Spicy Cajun Shrimp
½ tsp sea salt
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp dried thyme
¼ tsp dried oregano
2 Tbsp Bayou Seasonings Cayenne Hot Sauce
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Pound Large Shrimp – peeled and deveined
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Add shrimp toss until well coated. Thread shrimp onto wooden skewers. Broil shrimp 4-6 minutes on one side then turn on second side baste with more of mixture return to broil until shrimp turn pink.
Cajun Juicy Hamburgers
½ Tbsp sea salt
½ tsp white pepper
½ tsp cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp Bayou Seasonings Cayenne Hot Sauce
8 slices cooked bacon chopped
1 pound ground meat or ground round
Spread and flatten ground meat in bottom of large bowl. Sprinkle all ingredients over meat evenly then mix well. You can grill on pit or fry in black skillet.
